I love trees. Great photos. And it's true, we often overlook things that are so familiair until all of a sudden they seem to Ignite a spark in our heads. Thanks for posting

These are so lovely; thank you. I was recently given a book of poems about trees and have reading one each morning. One said that trees are always there, listening to us, holding our secrets, supporting us.

I think that afternoon’s transformations happened for both reasons you describe - the magical quality of the light, in this situation, gave rise to new relationships. Maybe like being in a crowd, or even looking at photographs or video, being drawn to someone or something previously unknown, for reasons hard to articulate. What makes that ‘click’?

“its presence made me pause” - And there we have the recipe - acknowledging the other.

Thank you, Daniel! Do you mind if you share the title of that book of poems? After this encounter, my curiosity sparked for trees. I loved what you shared here: Trees are always there, listening to us, holding our secrets, supporting us. I appreciate you making these connections too.

You must have incredibly harsh conditions in that area. Tortured trees!!! They look old. They’ve lived through so much. Beautiful images. I’m so glad you saw them properly at last. They deserve it. And what a wonderful walk. Hugs dear Stella.

Thanks, Beth! Torrential storms (or atmospheric river as they call it here) combined with gusty winds are challenging to these trees. But how majestic they hold up, no? Weathered but not beaten. That's what I loved about these photographs. The details on the trunks were the most revealing. Last year's storm destroyed 30 trees in the other park we frequently visit. The low hills are naked- quite sad to see them empty. As always, thank you for looking and chiming in. You have a wonderful week ahead!

So beautiful. What a beautiful gift, to see a familiar scene in a new light - and it’s always perfect timing when it happens, isn’t it, like just exactly what you needed at that moment 💕

Thank you, Sydney! Absolutely. I felt a surge in my spirit and felt a deep appreciation for its beauty the moment it revealed themselves to me. I love when that happens!

They totally DO - and they're beautiful! I'm not that keen on eating popcorn, but I love it when it's in cloud-format! 🤣

These photographs are stunning. And interesting questions to ask ourselves about what we notice or don't and why.

Love the images...and the invitation to consider what changed. I love trees and always try to look closer to see what they reveal. Thanks for inviting me to do this through your images and taking us on your walk.
