Happy World Collage Day, Stella! Hard to pick a favourite, but the paper aeroplane piece is stunning, and I love the one with the roof and all the wires. Such beautiful work, all of them. 😊
Thank you, Rebecca! And I appreciate you showing up here every Sunday. The airplane piece was one of the first collages that came out when I ventured into Canva. The roof and the wires was one those that came together effortlessly. Its one of my favorites too and many are drawn to it as well.
I loved this post! I'm saving it to go back to again later. I'm experimenting with piecing together poetry and stop-motion animation. The process of making tiny changes between frames is very meditative for me.
The “Fishing” colors palette is both exciting and soothing, something about those circles as the colors pulse through them.
In contrast, the long lines and limbs of the basketball player remind me of a high diver caught at the last instant at the very edge of his board. The swish of the ball through the net; the splash of the pool’s bubbles.
“What are the things you are piecing together that bring joy to your life?”
So many things to attend to -- at home, among families and friends, at work with its endless messages and meetings, in our community, and the country and countries beyond. Trying to place all these fragments into a (metaphorical) mosaic has been unsatisfying.
I like the idea of collage, though - the pieces can move around, I can move the pieces around (at least to make sense for me). Collage allows for agency and a more authentic response, vibrant and true.

There's such energy in those wires - they're amazing!

Thanks, Jason! And yes, it’s in the details that we get to a flow in our creative process.
These are lovely; thank you for sharing!

Thank you, Daniel. I appreciate it. The basketball player was a fun one too! Glad you enjoyed it.

There’s so much going on that’s for sure. Hang in there, Daniel! Hopefully, a few of those pieces in your life still bring some joy in your life.
