That is SO COOL!!! I started off by linking the first two photos to poetry (in my mind) - not immediately accessible but worth it if you took the time and effort to sit with them. By the time you got to image five, I was hooked!!
I just happen to have done a beginner’s Procreate course this morning and I was imagining the art that you could create from layering these images and selecting elements and... I know they belong to other people so this is not something that can be done except for personal pleasure, but I’m really enjoying the pathways down which my mind is wandering....!!!
Thanks so much dear Stella. Stay warm! All the best. 🤗🤗😘
Thank you, Beth! I’m so glad to hear something inspired you from this post and got your creative juices churning. I am also interested in diving into Procreate! Something to complement digital collaging. I haven’t started yet but do let me know how it’s going. Is it easy to learn?
It is very easy to learn. We had a two and a half hour lesson, three students with different strengths, and we all did wonderfully. You already have your digital skills, so it will be a breeze for you (simple in other words - just in case that’s a figure of speech only used in Australia). It is Apple-based software though. Not sure if you already use Apple devices - one of our students had only just gotten an iPad but she did some really brilliant art.
All the best dear Stella. Hugs and best wishes. 🤗🤗
Thanks, Jenny! It’s so good to hear from you. Happy New Year! Any trips planned for 2024? Can’t wait to read as your next adventure unfolds. May God bless you.
Trying to get some things lined up. Do dance competitions count? LOL! Dance mom life is getting ready to determine several of my trips. But glad to be getting back into the writing routine.
Thank you, Alice! 🫣 I’m glad I wrote and shared it here at SWS. Often times, all of just swims in my head. Clarity is good. Happy to know you enjoyed this post.
Love this. The selection of photographs is amazing! Thank you for sharing. And as much I would love to join you on Mastodon a voice in my head shouts ‚not another social media site!‘
Thank you for looking, Susanne! And yeah, I totally understand if you aren’t able to join me over at Mastodon. I plan to share more photographs in the coming months. Stay tuned.
Thanks so much for this, Stella! It is an honor to work with you and to have your taste be associated with Flipboard. Your eye (and heart!) is top-notch and I will always savor what you find and share.
The photo geek in me is dancing, too! I love love love these photographs and the way you've sequenced them. Lots of elements talking to each other across the board. Gorgeous!
Thank you, Al! So glad you enjoyed the images as well as all the connections between them. It’s something I truly enjoy! The photo nerd unleashed, lol.
Thank you, Rebecca! I almost missed Sydney’s post so I appreciate you sharing the link. Fascinating especially because I don’t live in the part of the world that has snow. I’m seeing them with fresh eyes.
Thank you, Flavio! Welcome to Sundays with Stella. Yes! I definitely encourage you to do something similar to expand your visual vocabulary. It’s also fun to explore and discover old and new work. Give it a go and let me know how it goes!

That’s good to know. Yes, I do have an iPad and pencil so I’m good to go. I will give it a try, Thanks, Beth!
Beautiful photos, great post. I've signed up for Mastodon! Thanks for the info about it and the links, too.
Fantastic, Mary! I’ll see you over there at Mastodon. And, thank you for reading and looking. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Lovely and intriguing all the way around

Absolutely stunning, Stella - you've got my mind fizzing with all of this!
This terrific post of yours has reminded me of one about bubbles I'd seen last week. I'd never seen anything like these before: https://sydneymichalski.substack.com/p/do-yourself-a-favor

Very nice work! Love it, I think I should start doing something similar, not just shooting but also check, look, work pictures! Thank you!
